The IX show consists of a number of different parts, including multiple exhibitions. Check out the overview below, and click for more details on individual elements of the show.
The Main Show is a juried, traditional media exhibition, featuring over 90 artists showing their work across 18,000 square feet and three floors of the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts.
The IX Showcase is a non-juried exhibition featuring 130 artists displaying their work in both traditional and digital formats. This exhibition takes place on Friday and Saturday nights in the 12,000 square foot ballroom of the Reading DoubleTree by Hilton.
A new addition to the show in 2016, the IX Costume Salon provides a space filled with costumes and props for artists to research, sketch, and learn about model photography, makeup, and other reference skills.
The IX show features over 50 hours of programming over the course of the event, running in multiple tracks, including demonstrations, hands-on workshops, films, lectures, and even field trips.
Can't make it to IX this year, but still don't want to miss out on all the art buying opportunities? Take advantage of the new IX Concierge Service and have personal access to the art in the show from the comfort of your own home!
Every year, IX Arts has given multiple commissions to artists to produce personal works with no restrictions on time, size or subject. These pieces make up the IX Arts Collection, slated for regular exhibition and eventual donation for permanent display.
Every year the IX show provides over 25 hours of portfolio reviews with art directors, gallerists, atelier instructors and artists. Reviews are private 15-minute slots and are signed up for in advance.
